Museums: State Art Gallery

The State Art Gallery is the most important national museum of Siena and contains the largest collection of paintings of the Sienese school. Masterpieces from the 12th to the 17th century by Duccio di Buoninsegna, Simone Martini, Pietro and Ambrogio Lorenzetti, Sodoma, Beccafumi and many other artists can be found there.

I recommend combining this visit with the "Get to know Siena" tour. A leisurely stroll around the most famous sights will give you an excellent insight into this remarkable city.
